
Manchester United (MU) decided to keep Michael Owen to extend his contract for one season. MU also promised to provide more performance opportunities for Owen next season.
Former England striker was mostly only appeared as a substitute for two years at Old Trafford. He has a chance to leave after his contract expires at the end of this season. However, Owen several times says it wants to stay together "Red Devils".
"I'm glad to have agreed to extend my contract for one year. Playing with great players, under exceptional manager, and in front of so many supporters are very enthusiastic. All of that is a real inspiration. I can not wait to start next season," said Owen.
